Youth Baseball Gear Designing Custom Baseball Uniforms For Your Team

Designing custom baseball uniforms for your team can be a daunting task. But with the right guidance, you’ll have all the tools to make sure that your players look and feel their best on the field! As an expert in youth baseball gear, I’m here to provide tips on how to choose the perfect uniform for your team.

First of all, consider what type of fabric will work best for your particular situation. If you’re playing in a hot climate, lightweight fabrics such as polyester or cotton blend are ideal. On the other hand, if you’re playing in cold weather conditions, heavier materials like wool might be better suited for keeping your players warm during those chilly games. Durability is also important when selecting materials since they need to withstand regular wear and tear from practice and playtime alike.

Next up: design elements! Think about adding personalized touches that reflect your team’s style – pick out colors that stand out or add logos and embroidery details to give each player an individualized look while still representing unity within the group. You even have options nowadays where you can customize jerseys with names and numbers printed directly onto them so everyone has their unique piece of equipment!

Stay tuned as we dive deeper into designing custom baseball uniforms for your team – it’ll soon become second nature!

When creating a custom design for your team’s uniform, there are plenty of ways to incorporate your team colors into the look. From two-tone color schemes to bold statement pieces like flashy logos, no detail should be overlooked when crafting the ideal ensemble for game-day success! Transitioning seamlessly into the next section, features such as material composition and comfortability must be considered when selecting the right baseball gear for younger athletes.

Additionally, it’s important to pay attention to sizing guidelines when ordering youth gear; make sure your players have enough room to move comfortably while still looking smart on the field. Finally, take into account any special requests from individual players so everyone has a great experience wearing their new uniform.

Understanding the Basics of American Football

American football is a sport that captivates both kids and adults alike. It’s no surprise that many parents are encouraging their children to get in on the action and become involved with youth American football teams or recreational leagues. But, before they take the field, it is important to understand the basics of this popular sport.

The fundamentals of American football involve passing, running, catching, and kicking. These aspects all require different levels of skill for success but can all be learned over time. From quarterbacks throwing passes to receivers to running backs taking handoffs from the QB and more, each player has an important role on the field. As players hone their skills, they will gain a better understanding of how each team plays together and work towards one common goal: score points!

In addition to understanding the fundamentals of American football, it is also important to know the rules and regulations of the game. The key rules include four 15-minute quarters; three timeouts per team in each half; scoring definitions such as touchdowns, extra points, and field goals; down limits per possession; offside penalties; blocking penalties; illegal contact rules; clock stoppages; safety rules and yard line measurements. All these systems work together to create a fair game for everyone involved.

Overall, with knowledge of both the fundamentals and regulations of American football comes superior confidence on the field by players from both sides as well as an exciting gameplay experience for spectators watching from home or at a stadium.

Developing Confidence in the Field

Football is a sport that requires physical strength, coordination, and discipline. But it also demands a certain level of confidence from its players to perform at their best on the field. Developing such self-assurance can be a challenge, but it is essential for any athlete looking to reach their maximum potential in the game.

One way to build confidence on the football field is by properly preparing physically and mentally. This means taking care of your body with good nutrition, regular exercise, proper hydration, and adequate rest. It also requires honing your skills and knowledge of the game through practice drills and attending team meetings. Additionally, mental preparation can include visualizing successful scenarios on the field and setting personal goals for improvement as an athlete.

Another strategy for increasing self-assurance in American football is through working together with teammates to improve team unity and sportsmanship. Players who work together in harmony and respect each other’s talents will have more trust in each other on the field which translates into greater confidence overall. Building trust between players can also help create an enjoyable atmosphere during practices, games & tournaments which increases motivation levels all around.

It takes time and effort to build up confidence among athletes on the field but ultimately it pays off with increased performance levels as well as greater satisfaction amongst individual players when they achieve success collectively or individually. With a dedication to practice & perseverance, any team or player can develop this important trait necessary for success in American football!

Learning Valuable Life Lessons Through Football

Football is a sport that can teach us many valuable life lessons, from developing teamwork to inspiring perseverance and determination. For athletes, football has the potential to help them grow into confident, responsible individuals with strong values and integrity. Whether you are playing youth or organized adult leagues, there are important lessons to be learned through football that apply to life outside of the game.

One of the most significant values we can learn from football is respect. To play and succeed in this competitive sport, players need to treat each other with respect at all times. This includes being courteous on the field, respecting authority figures like coaches and referees as well as displaying good sportsmanship during victory or defeat. So go play with your custom jerseys football and have fun.

Perseverance is another trait that can be developed through football. From performing one more set of reps at practice to pushing to score a late-game touchdown despite fatigue, football teaches players how to endure difficult circumstances and keep going no matter what the odds may be. It takes hard work and dedication to stay focused on your goals in both athletics and life; learning this skill on the field will benefit any successful player or person for years to come!

Conclusion

Youth football programs can offer a wide variety of benefits for young athletes. From learning about teamwork, developing physical discipline, and building confidence, to gaining an appreciation of sportsmanship and having fun with friends, American football has much to offer those who participate.

Teamwork is an essential part of football, requiring players to work together to succeed. As such, this sport can help teach kids the value of collaboration while also promoting healthy competition amongst teammates. Through working as a unit, they learn how to better handle victory and defeat as well as respect each other’s skills and abilities.

Moreover, youth football also requires a certain level of physical discipline which helps players stay in shape and build strength while improving their overall coordination & agility. With the right training program, athletes will learn proper form when executing plays on the field which can result in increased safety levels during games.

In addition to physical development, participating in youth football programs can also help build confidence. As players become more proficient at the sport and experience success both as individuals and collectively as a team, their self-assurance grows both on and off the field. Having this sense of security allows them to take risks without fear of failure which leads to further growth and development as an athlete!

Ultimately, American Football provides many benefits for youths including teaching teamwork & collaboration; developing physical discipline; providing opportunities for personal growth; building self-confidence; instilling values like respect and sportsmanship; fostering camaraderie among teammates; enabling healthy competition; giving participants chances to be creative; encouraging problem-solving skills; introducing new leadership roles & responsibilities, and bringing families closer together through shared experiences!

Tips for Looking Great at the Game

Baseball season is the perfect time to show your team spirit, and you want to make sure you look your best while cheering on your favorite players. Here are a few tips to help you look great at the game. First, choose the right colors and fabrics. You’ll want to avoid anything too heavy or bulky, as it will be difficult to root for your team if you’re uncomfortable. Instead, opt for light, breathable fabrics in your team’s colors such as baseball uniforms. Second, layer your look correctly. Baseball games can be unpredictable, so it’s a good idea to dress in layers that you can easily add or remove depending on the temperature. Third, consider what occasions you’ll be attending in addition to the game. If you’re going to be tailgating before or heading out for drinks afterward, make sure your outfit is appropriate for both activities. Finally, don’t forget your team’s logo. Whether it’s a hat, T-shirt, or jacket, sporting your team’s logo will show everyone around you that you’re a true fan. With these tips in mind, you’ll be sure to turn heads at the baseball game.

Conclusion

At the Baseball game today, I was able to see many people in the stands rooting and supporting their team. There were a lot of people that had on their team’s colors and were painted up with face paint. It was really cool to see how into the game they were and how they showed their spirit in so many different ways. There were people with signs, people with flags, and even some people that had on costumes! It was clear that everyone was there to have a good time and support their team. I even saw a few people that I knew, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m already looking forward to the next game.

Which Major League Baseball Team Has the Best Logo?

MLB Sport Uniform

The logo is arguably the most important part of any sports uniform, so as the 2016 MLB season heads towards the end of the first month, we give you our top logos for 2016. Some have innovated and done something new, while some have stayed unashamedly old school. Wherever your team sits in the rankings, it’s always an interesting debate. Who is going to take the crown this year?

  1. St Louis Cardinals

Everyone just loves the Cards identity. You can’t knock it! Those birds on the bat are utterly fantastic. They’ve been part of the St Louis uniform since 1922, so why break a habit of a lifetime? Thankfully they haven’t, and this exact logo has remained constant since 1998. Long may it continue!

  1. Los Angeles Dodgers

This logo is genuinely iconic – it kinda speaks for itself. Quite right that it basically hasn’t changed for decades and decades. They have done the odd little tweak, like bolder lines on the baseball, but this logo is gonna run and run.

  1. New York Yankees

This is one of the classics, recognizable the world over. Completely untouched since 1968, and for good reason! The Yankees might be the reason we receive requests for pin striped baseball jerseys.

  1. Minnesota Twins

Although the logo is like many others in that it features two letters, the Minnesota Twins have a slightly different take on it, because the letters don’t stand for the team name. They actually stand for “Twin Cities”, and although the two letters were used during their World Series glory years, they’ve been spruced up a little bit to bring them into the modern era. Hopefully this doesn’t ruin their chances of any future World Series!

  1. Houston Astros

The Houston Astros have enjoyed some good times of late, and their logo looks good too. It was a good move for them to reinterpret their old cap logo to give us the logo we see today. This was brought in when they joined the American League a few years ago, and looks kinda neat; far better than the old black and brick theme anyway.

  1. Detroit Tigers

This has recently been upgraded to become the primary logo, a decision that has been well received by the public. The logo was actually first seen in 1905, and has been worn on their cap on-and-off ever since.

  1. New York Mets

The New York skyline is always an evocative image, and it never looks better than when emblazoned on the Mets logo. It hasn’t changed much in the last 50 years which is perhaps a sign that it looks right.

  1. Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays have basically overhauled their entire identity, thanks in no small part to the protestations of the fans. They insisted on pressing for more blue, and basically wanted the logo to look more like it did when they were successful. What’s for certain is that it’s wildly more popular than their last logo, which caused widespread outcry.

  1. Kansas City Royals

The crown on the logo has been particularly appropriate in recent years, but it’s been going right from the beginning when they entered the league (1969). This current version was adapted in 2002, where they added a black drop shadow and emphasized the “KC” part of it. Why change a winning formula?

  1. Seattle Mariners

You can’t argue with a franchise called “the mariners” using a compass in their logo – that’s a nice touch. There’s a fair bit of momentum behind a return to the 1980s blue and yellow, but the teal look seems to work at the moment.

  1. Chicago Cubs

The Cubs are a franchise steeped in history, so it’s right that the logo has remained pretty similar down the years. The design concept goes as far back as 1937, and it hasn’t even been tweaked in the slightest since 1979. It seems even more relevant now that the team is looking good.

  1. Arizona Diamondbacks

Despite being such a new franchise, there have been so many changes in their logos and colors. Well now is the time to stop – the current Sedona and black looks mighty fine.

  1. Atlanta Braves

Would you believe it was 1990 when they dropped the Native American logo? Was it screaming? Was it laughing? We can all remember the debate! But it looks like their tomahawk logo is very much here to stay… there is a chant about it after all.

  1. Oakland Athletics

You’ve really gotta love that elephant on the arm of the uniforms, especially when you consider the back story. In case you don’t know already, it was an ironic response to a taunt from the New York Giants owner John McGraw in 1905 who described the franchise as a “white elephant”. The 1993 revamp of the green outline of the logo is still looking sweet.

  1. Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim

They’ve gone through a lot of changes down the years, but the current ‘A’ with an angel’s halo around the top is a very nice touch. This came in when the team was renamed in 2005, and is still a big hit.

  1. Colorado Rockies

Those Rocky Mountains look great on the logo, but the logo itself is in that time window where a franchise normally changes it. It’s been unchanged since 1993. The question is, will they stick with it long enough for it to become an icon?

  1. Chicago White Sox

This is straight up black & white and hasn’t changed for 25 years. It’s actually a version of a logo they originally used in the 1960s. It leads us to wonder; how much longer are they going to stick with it? There’s been a bit of a resurgence in the Batterman logo from the 1980s, so maybe just maybe they’re priming it for a logo change sometime soon.

  1. San Francisco Giants

This was the logo they brought in when they first moved to San Francisco, and it’s still looking the part today. Black, gray and orange is a unique color combo that works really well. Or maybe it was winning those three World Series in six years that persuaded us it was good?

  1. Baltimore Orioles

This is one of those where you either love it or you hate it. The bird is kinda funny, but you see just as much of the older cartoon bird from back in the day, which suggests not everyone sees the funny side.

  1. Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox are a classic franchise but there’s a bit of friction about their logo. The red socks have been there for a long time, but what about the circle and baseball from many years ago? Might be worth bringing back.

  1. Miami Marlins

This is a bit different. The logo has an interesting color scheme and the Marlin jutting out from the ‘M’ is a nice touch, but for now it will be in the shadow of the Florida Marlins logo.

  1. Washington Nationals

This logo doesn’t really inspire, but it’s a damn-sight better than their rushed rebrand from a few years ago.

  1. Milwaukee Brewers

The logo is a bit bland, let’s be honest. The primary logo just doesn’t seem to have the class of the ball-in-glove logo that they use on their second uniform.

  1. Philadelphia Phillies

Isn’t this beginning to look a little bit dated? Although this variation has only been going since 1993, and there are plenty of logos that go back longer than that, it’s probably time for a new look.

  1. Cincinnati Reds

This is a fairly uninspiring logo. Props to them for adding the black to it recently though – it lifts things slightly.

  1. Pittsburgh Pirates

What were they doing relegating their pirate logo to be their alternative? Sacrilege!

  1. Cleveland Indians

Their official “C” mark is pretty dull, but in their defense, the mark most people associate with them is the better-looking-but-now-deemed-offensive Red Indian logo.

  1. Texas Rangers

Their logos have always been poor. This one sure needs jazzing up a bit.

  1. San Diego Padres

It was a big mistake to get rid of their classical Swingin’ Friar, especially when the alternative is as simple as this. Must do better!

  1. Tampa Bay Rays

Even though the team was fantastically bad, the Devil Rays logo they wore at the time was far better than this current effort.

2016 MLB Trade Rumors: Ryan Braun, Brett Garner and More

MLB Baseball Trade Rumors

The 2016 MLB season is still a few months away, but things have heated up quite a bit with a flurry of free agency moves. One team oddly hasn’t been very active: the New York Yankees. One big reason could be because the Yanks have some tricks up their sleeves of the trade variety. If New York has waited this long to pull the trigger on potential deals, other teams could be doing the same.

Let’s take a second to look at some teams that could soon be making some noise in the trade field and what players could be on the move:

Brett Gardner, OF, New York Yankees

With depth in the outfield and tons of hitting to spare, the Yanks could end up shopping outfielder Brett Gardner. Gardner is a great utility player and numerous teams could step up and pounce on him, but Nick Cafardo of the The Boston Globe suggests it could be the L.A. Angels that end up offering young pitcher Andrew Heaney for the extra bat. The Angels really struggled for consistent offense outside of Mike Trout and Albert Pujols last year and landing someone like Garner could up their averages and give them an extra bat. Heaney would be especially attractive to New York, too, as they’d get a young pitcher on the rise to help round out a decent pitching rotation that could need just one more ace to take their game to the next level.

Ryan Braun, OF, Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers aren’t winning with Braun, so it may be time for both sides to part. Rumors of such a possibility broke out after the season ended, with the Brewers reportedly admitting they’d freely part with the bloated star. Braun can still bring power to the table and is a competent fielder, but is over 30 and no longer is the reason Brewers win games. Milwaukee was a big seller near the trade deadline last year and with another losing season surely on the horizon in 2016, they could opt to dump Braun to the highest bidder.

C.J. Wilson, SP, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

You can toss the aforementioned Heaney and veteran Jered Weaver in the mix, here, too. The point is the Angels aren’t getting what they want out of their would-be loading pitching staff and they certainly are lacking on the offensive side. It’s time for the Angels to finish the building job they started and actually field a strong supporting cast around superstar Mike Trout. That doesn’t mean they have to get rid of all of their best pitchers – nor should they – but Wilson and Weaver have failed to live up to expectations and could potentially bring back some hitting upgrades.

Padres Pitchers

Andrew Cashner, James Shields and Tyson Ross are all in danger if the Padres slip early again in 2016. The odd part is all three are quite good and could easily pull it together to form a very stable rotation this year, but San Diego could use another bat or two to form a more consistent offense. Ross re-upped with the team and may be the one guy of the three that San Diego actually wants to keep, but Shields is exiting his prime (or is already out) and Cashner is already 29. It will be interesting to see what San Diego ends up doing, but as recently as December they were still sending out feelers for both Cashner and Shields.

Jay Bruce, OF, Cincinnati Reds

Remember when the Reds started blowing things up last year by trading stud power hitter Todd Frazier to the Chicago White Sox? Yeah, they’re not even close to done. The Reds have only gotten older a year later and with the team finally actually committed to a full rebuild, it’s only a matter of time until they start unloading their other star veterans. Bruce is definitely high on the list of guys to hit the exit, as he’s nearing 30 years of age and has seen his play drop off in the past couple of years. He still can hit the long ball, though, and could be very useful to the right team. Cincy, meanwhile, would probably just want some young prospects in return. Joey Votto is a bigger name that could end up being mixed up in Reds trade rumors, too, but the 32-year old masher has yet to waive his no-trade clause.

As the 2016 MLB season draws closer we’re sure to hear more about potential trades before the season, but for now these may be the top names/teams to keep an eye on. Got another juicy trade rumor we need to hear about? Tell us in the comments below!

Arizona Diamondbacks Unveil New 2016 MLB Uniforms

Arizona Diamondbacks New 2016 MLB Uniforms

A few weeks ago the Arizona Diamondbacks got the hype ball rolling for the 2016 MLB season by pushing out a whopping eight new custom baseball uniforms for the new year. Not too long after, they snagged one of the top free agents on the open market in pitching ace, Zack Greinke. Needless to say, Arizona Diamondbacks fans have a lot to look forward to come this spring.

The release of the new look was part of their #DbacksEvolution event that appears to be spring-boarding the Diamondbacks into an entirely new phase. It’s a new era that includes a throwback uniform, a uniform with a chrome red top, two all grey baseball uniforms, two all white uniforms and two different uni’s with black tops and red trim on the shoulders.

The new uniforms are a step in the right direction, as they give a struggling franchise a fresh new look and some excitement heading into the 2016 MLB season, regardless of the team’s off-season moves.

Luckily Arizona hasn’t just been wasting their time when it’s come to improving their roster, either, as adding Greinke appears to be a huge move on paper. One big reason why is because this was already a competitive team that had the makings of a team on the rise. Having star mashers like A.J. Pollock and Paul Goldschmidt will do that, and now they could have the stud pitcher to lead an improving defense into the fire.

Are the Diamondbacks suddenly the team to beat in the NL West? That’s tough to say. What we do know is they’ll look a whole lot better come 2016, no matter if they win or lose.

Love the new Arizona uniforms? Hate them? Tell us in the comments below!

White Sox Land Todd Frazier in Blockbuster MLB Trade

MLB Uniform White Sox

The Chicago White Sox did not have a threatening offense in 2015. They had one of the games top pitching aces and a decent supporting cast, but all too often they couldn’t generate runs to consistently get wins. That tragic formula led to a 76-86 finish and fourth place in the AL Central division.

Given their offensive hardships, one could say the White Sox really aren’t in that bad of shape. If they ever want to catch the world champion Kansas City Royals (95 wins last year), they’ve got some work to do. It’s easy to see how lethargic their offense was with a quick comparison to the game’s most potent offense. The Toronto Blue Jays owned that title last year, putting up a ridiculous 891 runs, while the Sox could muster up just 622.

Here comes the cavalry.

Per reports, the White Sox have finalized a three-team trade that will land them former Cincinnati Reds power hitter Todd Frazier. While not exactly the most efficient batter in the world, last year’s home run derby winner certainly packs a serious punch in terms of the long ball (35 home runs last year) and at 29 years old is still in his prime. Add Frazier to an offensive lineup that already consists of solid players like Melky Cabrera, Adam Eaton and fellow star power hitter Jose Abreu, and there’s a chance the White Sox might have something brewing here.

Frazier won’t cure all that ails Chicago on his own. This is still a team that can’t be done improving on the outside and also needs to figure out a way to get better from within. This is, however, a statement move perhaps, that the Sox are not content with merely being an average team for much longer.

Boasting one of the top strikeout pitchers in the game in Chris Sale, it’s possible the White Sox realize it’s high time they back him with a productive offense. One that can even reach 700 runs in 2016 would go a long way in helping Chicago take a big step forward. Bringing Frazier into town is very much a step in the right direction.

The best part if the White Sox didn’t have to give up much to land a stud hitter. Chicago did lose a few solid prospects in the deal with the Reds and Dodgers (Trayce Thompson, to name one), but overall it was a deal worth making and shows the Sox are serious about building themselves back into contender status.

MLB Rumors: Who Will Sign Johnny Cueto?

MLB free agents 2016

MLB free agency is alive and well, as Jordan Zimmerman became the first big name to come off the open market earlier this week when he latched on with the Detroit Tigers via a massive 5-year, $110 million deal. More dominos will fall and one big name in the pitching field that everyone is wondering about is ex-Royals pitcher, Johnny Cueto.

We touched on all of his potential suitors before he got dealt out of Cincinnati last year and once again he’s one of the top star players that is likely to be on the move. Kansas City finished the job last year by winning the World Series, so it’s rather unlikely they pay up to keep Cueto, who was rather inconsistent with them. That doesn’t mean Cueto will want for suitors, however. Let’s take a look at his most likely destinations heading into the 2016 MLB season:

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Arizona Diamondbacks reportedly just offered Cueto a massive deal and he turned it down. Perhaps he correctly assumes he can hold out and get an equal/better deal for a team that actually could sniff the playoffs. The Dodgers are certainly one of those teams, as they’re in the market for some pitching with Zack Greinke opting out of his deal. Greinke could still return to L.A. but perhaps the Dodgers can bolster their pitching rotation with Cueto and save some cash in the process.

San Francisco Giants

The Giants are first trying to pry Greinke away from the division rival Dodgers, but whether or not they accomplish that, they appear to be very much in the mix to steal Cueto out from under the Dodgers, too. San Francisco still has a nice pitching staff headed by Madison Bumgarner, but they’ve seen a slide beyond him. Cueto isn’t the ace he was just a few years ago, but he’s still technically in his prime and when he’s on, few can be better. He’d be a great addition to a Giants defense that struggled at times in 2015.

Boston Red Sox

Boston is one of the rare up and coming teams that seems to be totally set offensively and just needs to pay up to fill in some defensive pieces. They don’t have much in the way of pitching, so adding Cueto could help quickly put them back on the map. That would make Cueto the face of their defense as easily their top pitching ace. That could be a nice pull for Cueto, who probably wouldn’t mind the trio of cash, fame and the chance to win with a rising club.

Chicago Cubs

If you want a rising club that Cueto could latch on, then perhaps the Cubs could be the leaders for his services. Chicago has some stout pitching already but could use another arm or two to push their inconsistent defense over the top. Cueto wouldn’t be close to the face of the franchise, but he’d certainly play a big hand in shoring up the depth in the pitching rotation. Already legit title contenders going into 2016, adding Cueto could possibly put the Cubs over the top.

Ultimately, I think Cueto is headed to L.A. He wants more cash and he also wants to keep winning – getting a World Series ring will do that to you – while I bet Greinke is gone. That puts Cueto and David Price front and center for the Dodgers, who can ill afford to go from one of the best top-heavy pitching staffs to one that has Clayton Kershaw and little else. With Price also commanding high dollar on the open market, I think Cueto winds up in Los Angeles.

MLB Not a Fan of Fallout 4 Using David Ortiz Jersey

MLB Boston Jersey

A video game recently used Boston Red Sox star masher David Ortiz’s likeness. MLB is none too pleased. Per reports, an independent video game developer modified “Fallout 4” to include a character in a Boston Red Sox uniform donning Ortiz’s name on the back. Apparently, that’s not okay.

“The use of these marks is an infringement of our rights. We plan to enforce those rights,” an MLB spokesman barked.

To that, we say, touche’.

But really, isn’t Major League Baseball just making a big deal about nothing? The video game itself is not marketing their product with infringement in mind. This was a choice by an independent developer to enhance the game, which is set in post-apocalyptic Boston.

Said the developer, Richie Branson, “Basically, I think it was the only thing missing from the game. You’ve got Fenway Park, the Green Monster, and all of Boston, but there weren’t any Red Sox jerseys.”

Tough to argue with that.

Branson went on to say that he wouldn’t fight the MLB if the league took the issue to court, and he just felt the patch was a fun addition to a game that was clearly centered in Boston, Massachusetts.

It’s worth noting that Branson isn’t making any money off of the move, either, while it’s not like he’s creating real life custom baseball uniforms and trying to sell them or promote them/himself. He simply added a fun twist to a game.

Branson expressed his surprise that Major League Baseball said anything at all, suggesting that game developers have added patches and new downloads to game for years. The makers of Fallout 4 and numerous games allow it and it’s much in the same vain of a created roster being uploaded into any sports game.

I don’t know about you, but if there is a post-apocalyptic world where Ortiz isn’t running around killing zombies for the betterment of us all, I’m not sure I want to know about it. It remains to be seen whether or not Branson has to pull back on his Fallout 4 enhancement, but it’s interesting to note that the laws of baseball uniforms stretch beyond game day itself.

What’s your take on Branson catching heat for using David Ortiz’s jersey in the video game? Let us know in the comments below!

MLB Predictions: Early Leaders to Win 2016 World Series

MLB Blue Baseball jersey

The Kansas City Royals just won the 2015 MLB World Series. Just a week ago that wasn’t a guarantee, and a year ago they were in that same spot and ended up losing to the San Francisco Giants. The Giants didn’t even make the playoffs this year, while the team the Royals beat – a good New York Mets club – didn’t even make the playoffs last year.

This season was even weirder when you take a close look. The St. Louis Cardinals, the team with baseball’s best record, didn’t even get out of the first round. In fact, the NL Central, which produced three of the top records in the majors, didn’t send a team to the final series of the year. The Toronto Blue Jays, the most potent offense in all of MLB, didn’t make it, either.

It’s also worth pointing out the success and failures of some team’s custom baseball uniforms. The Cardinals, Mets, Dodgers and Cardinals all had the best performing baseball uniforms this past year, and all naturally made the post-season. On the flip side, the Dodgers also had one of the worst performing baseball uniforms, and the Blue Jays also joined them on the much maligned list.

Needless to say, it’s going to be mighty interesting to see how 2016 plays out. Which jerseys will help teams be the most successful? Which offense will provide the most power? Which defense will be the most stifling? And will any of that, or even the best record in baseball, have anything to do with who wins it all?

The Royals won this year’s World Series despite not having the best record and not having the best offense or defense. They were simply the best when it mattered most. They knew how to come from behind and win in a multitude of ways. That’s the mark of a champion, and after coming up short in the previous season, they stormed back and finished the job.

So, while we tip our hats to a job well done by the Royals, we have to wonder what 2016 has to offer. It’s quite early, but Vegas suggests the 2016 MLB season will be another wild ride. The early World Series odds have Kansas City coming in as the second best team in terms of winning it all, only behind the upstart Chicago Cubs. Just behind those two lie the Dodgers, Mets and Cardinals.

If we’re going off of the odds, the Royals have a decent chance to repeat in 2016. If we’re going off of recent history, the Mets could pull a card from Kansas City and come back next year to finish what they started. Or we could all be wrong and the Phillies (worst odds at 200/1) could shock us all and make their way back to baseball relevancy.

No one can know just yet, but it’s fun to think about. Who do you have for next year’s baseball title? Will it be the Royals again or someone else? Let us know in the comments below!
